Torre delle Stelle is found in the south-east of Sardinia, about 35 km away from Cagliari and about 15 km from Villasimius, a pleasant village set in hill and valley overlooking the sea and surrounded by woods. It offers tranquillity, relaxation and fun. There are about 1.200 villas of which only a small number are for rent. The resort features 2 white sand beaches crystal clear water to enjoy the longest summer and best climate during the whole year. The beaches are ideal for children because the water becomes deeper gradually. The 18-holes Tanka Golf Club at Villasimius is one of the best golf courses in Sardinia and rated editor's choice of the German Golf Magazin. It's only 10 km from Torre delle Stelle. Another nice golf course, the 9-hole Club Sa Tanca at Flumini (Quartu Sant'Elena) is in the same distance, but in the opposite direction.
Stintino is located in the North-West Of Sardinia, the promontory Capo Falcone is commonly considered a sort of paradise for its natural beauty. The sea of La Pelosa beach is one of the best sea you can find in Italy and likely not only in Italy, for the cyan colour that makes it looking like a swimming pool more than a sea and clearness and purity that you can hardly find in other places, even in Sardinia. The wide spread of maquis is also interesting from the faunistic point of view. In front of the promontory you can see the island of Asinara, formerly a penal colony and only from 1998 a nature reserve. The most famous village in this area is Stintino , that used to be a fishing based village in the past while now tourism is the main resource. On the northern coast, about 30 km. far from Stintino, there is Porto Torres, the most important town in that area after the chief town of the province, Sassari. Besides the importance of the port for the transportation link of the island with Genoa and Livorno, the town is also important from the archaeological point of view and for a very interesting church of XI century. Downwards in the western cost, before reaching Alghero, we find a place important from the historical point of view called Argentiera where there is an old silver mine and the old village of the miners.
